"There are no means for escaping this world it penetrates even into your sleep and is his substance you are caught in your own dreaming where there is no space and are held forever where there is no time you cant do nothing you aren't told to do there is no hope for escape from this dream that was never yours."
-Thomas Legotti

Private dancer is a multi-layered waking nightmare where our deepest fears and nervous anxieties are pulled from under the sheets and left twitching in the light, bathed in cold sweat. A disturbing yet humorous ménage-a-trois of Freudian analysis, horror movie and variety show exploring how received cultural language bleeds into our subconscious, lending form to the dialect of the Id. It reveals what happens when, under the warm blanket of somnolence, the absurd mental theatre of anxiety flickers to life to perform our very own private dance. Private Dancer dares to open the Pandora's box within us all and peer into its inky black depths.
