The piece is an artistic collaboration between Panic Productions and Gutes Tun. Dancers, actors and a musician from four different countries created the piece without a director or a script writer. The work is devised from scratch and the main stimulus is blues in various forms…workers blues, personal blues, blues music…The borders between dance and acting are blurry and singing plays a great part in the piece.
No, he was white was premiered as work in progress in Reykjavik Dance Festival 2005. When completed it opened in 2006 in Ballhaus Ost in Berlin and was then taken to Iceland, the Theatre of Hafnarfjördur, in June that same year.
